Jack McCune

Jack McCune joined the WTAJ team in May 2022 as a multimedia journalist. A native of Yardley, Pennsylvania, he is excited to stay in the Keystone state and explore the city of Altoona and the local area.

Jack graduated from Penn State in May 2022 with a bachelor’s in Broadcast Journalism and a certificate from the John Curley Center for Sports Journalism.

While at Penn State, he was involved with CommRadio, Penn State’s student radio station, where he was a Penn State Football and Basketball insider, news producer/anchor and host of his own radio talk show Broad Street Bros.

Jack was also a reporter and sports anchor on the award-winning Centre County Report, Penn State’s live weekly TV newscast. His newscast in November 2021 won first place at the Broadcast Education Association Festival of Media Arts Awards, earning him and the rest of the team a trip to a ceremony in Las Vegas.

Jack makes frequent trips back to Happy Valley. If you see him in the community, be sure to say hello!
