ALTOONA, Pa (WTAJ) — Two people were rescued by firefighters Sunday evening after a fire broke out at the Logan Hills apartments.
One person was taken to UMPC Altoona after he fell out of a second-story window, according to Altoona Fire Chief City Tim Hileman. He is doing well and is expected to recover.
A woman was also rescued from a window, however, did not sustain any injuries.
Firefighters were called out around 6:45 p.m. to the apartment at 1201 South 27th Street.
There were 24 displaced due to the fire but the First Cross has stepped in to assist those with temporary housing.

The Altoona Fire Department is still investigating the cause of the fire and currently believes the fire was accidental but it will take a few weeks before they can make a final determination.
