A local veterinarian is going mobile. Dr. Andy VanGorder decided instead of opening a brick and mortar clinic, he was going to head to his patient’s door steps.

Happy Paws Mobile Vet offers a variety of services throughout Centre County, and comes right to your homes. From wellness visits to more serious calls, Dr. VanGorder says he can do pretty much all, right from the comfort of your own home. However, for some cases that may require more machinery, he will refer patients to animal hospitals.

Dr. VanGorder says the mobile unit can be especially beneficial for the elderly, home-ridden, busy families and anyone who has a hard time getting their animal in the car. He also says the animals are usually more comfortable being able to be checked in a familiar setting rather than a traditional clinic.
