A public information session was held Thursday as a statewide effort to inform the public about immigration law.
Law professors from Penn State and local officials spoke before guests interested in learning about hot-button issues, including populations targeted and protections available under the U.S. Constitution.
Organizers said the forum was intently held days before Inauguration Day.
The forum comes days after State College Borough Council passed a resolution saying that immigration enforcement is a federal responsibility, which local officials would not be involved.
